The Ghosts
Without the four ghosts that chase Pac Man the game is nothing. The simple goal of eating dots and avoiding collision with the ghosts is what made this game simple, but fun. The only way to deal with the ghosts is to get the power up dot. This super dot would allow Pac Man to chase the ghosts and eat them for points. Once eaten the ghost return to their starting position and come out once again to chase Pac Man, and prevent him from getting all the dots on the screen.
